History of Eden Farms

Old Eden Farms StandSince the early 1950s, the Cluff Family name has been well known throughout West Milford and the surrounding areas. George Cluff, the first, began in the produce business, selling primarily fresh corn and tomatoes from his small farm on Union Valley Road. By 1984, that very same produce-stand had grown to include the cultivation of flowers and was formally incorporated as Eden Farms. Currently owned by the third generation of the Cluff Family, Eden Farms is now a flourishing full-service garden center as well as a wholesale production operation.

Mission Statement for Eden Farms

A View of the Eden Farms GreenhousesEden Farms is a garden center and greenhouse operation dedicated to providing customers, staff, and community with the highest quality of plant material and produce. We strive to offer helpful information, excellent service, and a wide variety of goods and merchandise in a pleasant atmosphere.

Our Growing Process at Eden Farms

Growing Process at Eden Farms The majority of plants grown at Eden Farms are what we call "Outdoor Acclimated." This process involves acclimating maturing plants to the sometimes-harsh spring climate by taking them from the greenhouse and bringing them outside each morning. By gradually exposing the plants to the wind, rain and cold temperatures of the early spring, they will thrive in weather conditions that often damage those "soft" plants grown strictly in a climate controlled greenhouse.
